Alex Soldier Quarantine Diaries in NYC

Nothing Crushes Us

New York, NY–As we find ourselves in an epicenter of a global pandemic, we can't help but fall in love with our city all over again while slowing our pace to reevaluate things that remain important in our lives as New Yorkers and as a global community. It's imperative to realize that self-isolation may not necessarily have a negative undertone, but rather a positive one of self-reflection, of shifting the focus within and making new discoveries in the process, as life is all about the journey and not the destination. And so we've embarked on our own special journey, from Times Square all the way to Grand Street, in order to feel our city at its very first and complete standstill, to fully experience history in the making while seeing it all with our own eyes. Although some may think that this pandemic has brought New York to its knees, we've witnessed inner strength and kindness in the eyes of strangers and street musicians, whose music filled the air with magic and celebration of life. While walking the streets of our beautifully diverse city, pulsating with energy of hope and perseverance, we're reminded that this too shall pass. And thus we pass on to you the light and wisdom of the present moment. Cherish it and don't forget to count your blessings. Be safe. We ❤️ YOU.
