Once upon a time, in a far away land of a country that no longer exists, lived a family that had dreams and aspirations that were larger than life itself. They dreamed of coming to the land of the free and the home of the brave, of leaving their old life behind and embarking on a new path, of finding true freedom in pursuit of happiness. They had an insatiable thirst for life—a life full of meaning, a life of their own choosing that wasn't bestowed onto them by the totalitarian regime or anyone else but themselves.
And so they took a leap of faith and arrived to the New World without knowing the language, without money or connections. Despite the myriad of challenges that they faced, they persevered and found strength in each other as a family. They knew what it was like to be hungry, to feel inferior. They tasted the bitterness of poverty, yet had no regrets and continued on their chosen path, with their dream always shining like a bright star, lighting the way, for they had each other to keep that dream alive.
It's hard to believe that more than three decades have passed by since then. As our small family gathers around the table this Thursday, we celebrate all the families across our beautiful country, with each one sharing their own unique story of their own pursuit of happiness. As we sit at our table, we count our blessings. We're truly grateful to have each other, our home, our hopes and dreams. We're grateful for all the challenges that make us better, stronger and kinder every day. Most importantly, we're grateful for all of you for being here and for all your amazing support! Wishing you a wonderful holiday season filled with love, light and kindness. We are always here for you.
