New York, NY–Celebrated artist, Alex Soldier, known for his mastery of fine jewelry and precious miniatures, designed a remarkable objet d’art (pictured below) to symbolize the Princess Grace Awards that were presented at the Princess Grace Awards Gala at The Plaza Hotel in New York City. Held in the presence of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco, the Awards Gala honored three-time Tony-recipient and Golden Globe Award-winning actress Bernadette Peters. Ms. Peters was honored with the distinguished Prince Rainier III Award for her outstanding artistry and exemplary give-back, which was presented to her by Peters’ "Hello, Dolly!" co-star, Victor Garber and HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco. The highlight of the evening was a special musical medley led by Tony Award-winner Gavin Creel featuring Ian Mellencamp, HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco and Jazmin Grace Grimaldi, sparkling in Alex Soldier's White Swan jewels. This magical celebration of artistic excellence was co-hosted by "Crazy Rich Asians" filmmaker Jon M. Chu and the New York City Ballet Principal Dancer Tiler Peck, glowing in Alex Soldier's spectacular Coronaria ring and earrings. Additionally, the Gala awarded 25 emerging artists in theater, dance, and film with Princess Grace Award pins, designed and created by Alex Soldier. 

The Prince Rainier III Award, envisioned and handcrafted by Alex Soldier in New York City, is a prestigious award that recognizes renowned leaders in the arts who share the passion of Princess Grace in supporting emerging talent. For the Awards, Soldier designed a stunning work of art incorporating symbols representing all three disciplines that were close to Princess Grace's heart and lauded by the Foundation: theater, dance, and film. It is composed of connected symbols denoting these three art forms. The past award winners included Tim Daly, James Cameron, Queen Latifah, Robert RedfordDick Van DykeCicely TysonJulie AndrewsDenzel WashingtonMandy Patinkin, and Lynn Wyatt.

Princess Grace Award pins are wearable versions of Prince Rainier III Award pictured above, which are presented to each Princess Grace Awards winner to wear as a pin, a special reminder of their Award for the world to see. This year the pins were presented to 25 emerging artists in theater, dance, and film, designed and created by Alex Soldier.
