Golden Elf, Triumph Award

In 1996, Alex Soldier was commissioned to create a statuette to symbolize the Russian Independent Prize for encouragement of achievements in art, music, film and literature. Triumph is awarded annually since 1992 to five most distinguished Russian artists, selected by members of the National Art Academy. The Triumph in Russia is considered the same caliber as the Academy Awards in United States. The statuette is based on a sketch by famed sculptor Ernst Neizvestny and interpreted by Soldier in 36 individual pieces of gold and platinum, handmade and hand-detailed with intricate textures, and held together by gold mini rivets placed inside of each statuette. Height 160 mm, 6.3 inches.

Handmade in NYC.
